    Phil Szuba was appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Hardware & Home Improvement (HHI) Division of Spectrum Brands in September 2015. Mr. Szuba previously served as Senior Vice President, Global Technology and Operations since January 2014. He joined HHI in May 2008 as Vice President, Engineering. During the merger of Stanley and Black & Decker, Mr. Szuba was the integration team leader for HHI and was responsible for the functional integration as well as the Stanley & National Hardware business integration into HHI.

    Before joining HHI, Mr. Szuba was Director and General Manager of Avdel North America for Avdel Fastening Systems, a business unit of Acument Global Technologies, formerly Textron Fastening Systems. Prior to this, he worked for 12 years at Lamb Technicon, a systems integrator of metal cutting and welding equipment.

    Mr. Szuba earned a Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s degree in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. in systems engineering from Oakland University. He holds 12 U.S. and numerous foreign patents and is a registered professional engineer.

    Division Vice President & Division General Counsel for the Hardware & Home Improvement division (“HHI”) located in Lake Forest, California. Paul oversees and manages all legal work for HHI worldwide and Spectrum Brands legal issues in Canada. Prior to joining Spectrum Brands, Paul was the Associate General Counsel for Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. where he had responsibility for overseeing numerous counseling and transactional matters for Toshiba’s computer, tablet, and television business. Additionally, Paul helped to establish and then directed the legal affairs for Toshiba’s computer, tablet and television business in Latin America.

    Prior to joining Toshiba, Paul was the Deputy General Counsel for James Hardie Building Products, overseeing transactional, litigation and intellectual property matters in the Unites States and directing specific legal functions worldwide. Before going in-house, Paul worked for two different law firms as a commercial litigator, litigating and trying cases in a variety of legal areas, including intellectual property, contracts, trade secrets, employment and products liability.

    A native of Chicago, Paul received his Bachelor’s Degree magna cum laude from Harvard University and his J.D. magna cum laude from Indiana University in Bloomington. He is active in the Orange County Bar Association and is an elected member of the Irvine Unified School Board.

    Vice President of Engineering for HHI since October 2015. Prior to assuming his present role, Mr. Bloom served as Divisional Vice President since 2014 and Director of Engineering, Security Hardware HHI since 2007. Mr. Bloom joined the Pfister Engineering team in 1996 as an R&D Engineer working at the Pacoima, CA R&D Design Center and Manufacturing Plant. Since that time, he has served as Manager of Pfister NPI/R&D and Manager of Kwikset and Weiser Engineering. Mr. Bloom has 12 issued U.S. patents in the plumbing and security product categories and several International patents. He is currently serving as a Vice President and Executive Member of the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association.

    Prior to joining the HHI business, Mr. Bloom worked as a Project Engineer in the air-conditioning and air-cooling industry for seven years at McLean/Contempo Engineering in Camarillo, CA, where he developed a line of computer room air conditioners as well as dozens of custom-designed air cooling systems for high-end computer mainframe equipment. Mr. Bloom earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA.

    Tim Goff is the Chief Marketing Officer for Spectrum Brands HHI. In this Leadership role he has held since 2015, Tim oversees all channel, brand, product, e-commerce, creative, and consumer interaction for HHI’s many iconic brands.

    Tim started with the company in 1997 and has been involved in several facets of the HHI business to include Operations, Sales, and Marketing. He began his career as Materials Manager in Kwikset’s original Plant in Anaheim, and has held several other positions throughout his tenure with the business to include Plant Manager, National Accounts Sales Leader, Director of Builder Development, and Vice President of Field Sales and National Accounts. Prior to HHI, Tim spent seven years in the aerospace industry leading manufacturing operations and managing materials and inventory.

    Tim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Operations Management and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing, both from California State University, Fullerton. His broad background and education make Tim uniquely qualified as the Marketing leader for Spectrum Brands HHI.

    Jeff joined Spectrum Brands’ Canadian businesses as their Divisional Vice President & General Manager based in Mississauga, Canada in 2015. He leads a cross-functional team of sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain leaders across the hardware, battery and appliance, pet, and auto care divisions. Prior to joining Spectrum Brands, Jeff held progressively more senior roles at Maple Leaf Foods, Energizer batteries, and most recently Danby appliances. He began his career in the car care industry selling Valvoline Motor Oil and Zerex Antifreeze.

    An English and French speaking native of Montreal, Jeff holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University. He serves as board member and chair of finance committee for Call2Recycle Canada, an organization dedicated to the recycling of batteries and related materials.

    Work has taken him to Vancouver and Toronto, where he now resides with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys ‘adventure time’ with family sailing in the Sea of Abaco, kayaking the North Channel, and hiking the West Coast Trail.

    Shawn joined Spectrum Brands in January 2017 from Luxottica Group, where he served as the Head of Human Resources for Oakley. At Oakley, Shawn led a global HR team of 45, supporting over 5,000 employees. Shawn joined Luxottica in 2013 as part of EyeMed, Supply Chain and OneSight where he managed all HR programs for a $1.5B insurance business, a six-site North American supply chain operation, and a global not-for-profit charity organization. Shawn has also worked in various HR leadership roles for Starbucks Coffee, Honeywell and Nestle.

    In addition to Shawn’s extensive HR experience, he is a certified Six Sigma Greenbelt and holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.A. in Organizational Management.
